Spring Activities

Spring has arrived, bringing with it an explosion of colors, life, and opportunities for the little ones to connect with nature! It’s the perfect time to explore, learn, and have fun outdoors. In this post, we share some creative and educational activities that not only celebrate this beautiful season but also foster curiosity, creativity, and a love for the natural environment in children.

Hope you find it helpful!

Flower Painting

For this activity, use flowers and leaves to create art on large sheets of paper. The textures, colors, and unique shapes of each plant will make your final result a beautiful painting, perfect for hanging in a space in your home or in a classroom.

Springtime: Sun Catcher

Gather leaves, branches, and flowers to create sun catchers using contact paper. Place them on the windows of your home or classroom to enjoy the vibrant spring colors with your children.

Texture Trail

Create a sensory path using various natural materials like grass, petals, soil, leaves, and twigs. Then, take off your shoes and explore the different sensations these materials provide with your feet. This activity is perfect for discussing the characteristics of different objects.

Necklaces and Insects

Use beads, leaves, flowers, and toy insects or insects painted on pasta to create unique necklaces for this spring. The little ones will be delighted to carry their small “springtime pets” with them.

Spring Mobile

Create hanging mobiles using twigs, dried flowers, and leaves. Hang your creations in the garden or in a favorite space to add a springtime and artistic touch.

Bird Food

Design small bird baths or feeders using recycled materials and decorate them with stones and flowers. Place them in the garden and wait nearby to see if any birds come to visit.

Fashion Show

Use natural elements to create unique spring clothing. Invite your kids to collect flowers, branches, and all kinds of leaves to make floral accessories and outfits. Then, they can organize a fashion show to display their creations to their friends.

Flower Characters

How about creating our own storybook characters for this spring? A princess, a wizard, a knight… whatever you can imagine! Use twigs, flowers, leaves, or seeds and let your imagination soar.

Look for ways to explore nature and work with the senses through textures, smells, sounds, and colors. It’s the perfect time to go out and enjoy open spaces. If you need more ideas, check out our spring post on our social media.
